Our two new graduates, Clever and Davis, have asked for assistance in setting up a pig and chicken farm in their home village. We have spent the past six months or so working with them on a detailed business plan and cash flow projections, and funding training for them in pig and chicken farm management and in business management. Davis and Clever, who have both been studying at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), have achieved fantastic BSc’s with credit (the equivalent of UK 2:1s) in Animal Science, and Nutrition and Food Science respectively.
