The Malawi Schools Project
The Malawi Schools Project has been funding school placements and university courses for young people from poor communities in Southern Malawi since 2016.
Join us in transforming the lives of some of the poorest children in Malawi through our educational projects and fundraising activities.
Our Projects
The Malawi Schools Project is is a small UK-based charity in West Sussex dedicated to fostering educational opportunities for children in Malawi. A snapshot of our work is shown below but see Projects for more information on the work we have been able to deliver thanks to our generous sponsors.
Schoolchildren
We run a bursary programme at a local secondary school for needy children. See School Fees for more.
Scholarships
For students like Ester who is studying for a Bachelor of Banking and Financial Management Services. See Students.
Literacy
With the support of two other charities, we dispatched a collection of children’s books to Malawi for schools and nurseries. See Literacy

In that time, I have seen some of the solid impact of their work, not just in terms of the impressive number of buildings constructed, but also the resources such as bicycles which continue to deliver access to education on a daily basis. Most impressive, however, has been the impact on young people’s lives. I have seen at first hand cohorts of learners successfully completing their schooling in classes which are better taught and institutions which are better led thanks to the support of MSP.
With the continued support of MSP scholarships for tuition and living costs, some of the most academically talented of these amazing young people are now even continuing their learning journeys on into higher education. Fundraising Events
Our fundraising events are varied and have included selling locally made crafts from Malawi, wine raffles, concerts in beautiful Sussex gardens.
