Thanks to generous sponsors, we have been able to initiate solar lamp lending projects at 2 secondary schools, just in time for end of year exams.

During a visit in May 26, we delivered 100 lamps to Mpasa CDSS, with which we have had a long association, and 35 more to the much smaller Carmushka abc CDSS. Both schools are making the lamps available on a short loan basis to children who come from homes without electricity so that they can study at home. Head teachers report that the schemes are popular and working well, and that the students are returning the lamps promptly and in accordance with school rules. We are so happy with these initial results that sponsors have agreed to make a further 100 lamps available for next term.
